To give pupils the opportunity to participate in regular, frequent, safe and fun activity including leadership and volunteering opportunities.
The focus is on engaging those pupils who are less likely to be physically active, including those in the following groups:
· Girls
· Pupils in the transition from primary to secondary
· Children with additional needs
· Children living in deprived areas, and ethnic minorities.
Active Schools aims to promote and develop pathways between schools and community sports clubs. |
